Masrour Barzani underlined the importance of unity between the Kurdish parties of Syria and power monopoly threatens their future.
In a meeting with the Dutch Envoy to Syria, Ambassador Gerard Steeghs, the Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region’s Security Council (KRSC) Masrour Barzani called on Kurdish factions to unite and implement previous agreements in order to guarantee the Kurdish rights within Syria’s future.
The meeting focused on the political and military developments in Syria, the upcoming meeting in the Kazaghistan’s capital Astana, the future of Syrian Kurds, and was emphasized that the participation of Kurdish representatives in the meeting will be in the interest of Rojava.
Masrour Barzani referred to the agreements signed in Erbil and Duhok to ensure Kurdish unity and safeguard gains and rights for the Kurdish people.
The Dutch Envoy thanked the efforts made by the Kurdistan Region and reiterated on the existence of a modern force to have a role in the future of Syria. “You are in the forefront of the war against terrorists,” he said, “we therefore value your insights on how to resolve the problems.”
