KRSC: Key ISIS Military Leader Killed in Special Operation

The Kurdistan Region’s Security Council says that their Counter Terrorism Forces and US Special Forces have killed a leading self-proclaimed Islamic State (ISIS) member in South Mosul.

“On 18 April 2016, a joint operation by the Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD), part and parcel of the Kurdistan Region Security Council, and U.S. Special Forces in Hamam Alil resulted in killing a senior ISIL member, Salman Abu Shabib al-Jebouri,” read the press release of KRSC.

The high-profile terrorists, also known as Abu Saif, was a member ISIL’s military council, supervising the group’s activities in South Mosul and Makhmour.

Two of his aids were killed in the joint operation.
