The President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani is meeting numerous leaders that have attended the Munich Security Conference that embarked on February 12 and lasts until February 14.
Among the leaders that President Barzani met are Lebanese Prime Minister Tamma Salam, Jordanian King Abdulla II, French Defense Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, German Foreign Minister Frank Steinmeier, Italian Foreign Minister Paulo Gentiloni, UK Foreign Minister Phillipe Hammond, Iraqi Prime Minister Haidar Abadi, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammed Javad Zarif, delegation from both German ruling parties Christian Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, Macedonian President Gjorge Ivanov, US POTUS Envoy to War on ISIS Brett McGurk, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini.
According to a press release of the Kurdistan Region’s Presidency, President Barzani has discussed the Middle East, Iraqi and Kurdistan situations, the war on ISIS, the war in Syria, the financial crisis in the Kurdistan Region, the Mosul liberation process, and the bilateral relations. Each of Fuad Hussein, the Chief of Kurdistan Region’s Presidency Diwan; Falah Mustafa, head of Foreign Relations Department; and Dilshad Barzani, the Representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government to Germany, accompany Masoud Barzani.
Fuad Hussein said in a press conference that Barzani has asked each of the delegates for military and financial support in order to pass this period safely.
